Why I Created the Chef Sandra Online Shop.


For years, people have been asking me the same question:
“Where can we buy your products when you’re closed for the season?”
Until now, my answer was always a little frustrating—for them and for me.
Chef Sandra has always been a very hands-on, seasonal business. Most of our jams, spreads, risottos, and European specialities are produced in spring, summer, and fall, when we are cooking daily at Cork & Fork at Caribou RV Park, attending local markets, and working with fresh ingredients at their peak. During the winter, many of you were left waiting, even though our shelves were full and your pantries were empty.
That’s exactly why this new website exists.



A Natural Next Step, Not a Big Change

The launch of www.chefsandra.ca is not about becoming “bigger” or more industrial. It’s about making what we already do more accessible.
Every product you see online is still:
  • Handmade in small batches
  • Prepared the traditional European way
  • Cooked slowly, without shortcuts
  • Made with carefully selected ingredients
Nothing has changed in the kitchen. The only thing that’s new is that you can now order during the off-season instead of waiting for markets to reopen.


European Roots, Northern Character

My cooking is deeply rooted in Europe—France, Italy, Germany, and Belgium—but it has evolved here in the North. Living and cooking in the Yukon has taught me to respect ingredients even more, to work with seasons, and to focus on flavour rather than excess.
Our jams are not overly sweet. Our risottos are balanced and comforting. Our recipes are inspired by what people actually cook and eat at home in Europe—not by trends.
This website reflects that philosophy: simple, honest, and focused on quality.


How Ordering Works (For Now)

Because we produce most of our stock in spring, summer, and fall, quantities are limited and always seasonal.
You can now:
  • Order online during the off-season
  • Pick up your order every Saturday at Caribou RV Park after 9AM at the laundry room
  • Enjoy the same products you know from our store and markets
As long as supplies last.
This system allows us to stay small, flexible, and consistent—without compromising quality.

This website is simply a way to stay connected year-round.
